At Bethel Lodge, every stay is about connection—whether with nature, loved ones, or simply the quiet beauty of the Eastern Free State. With wide-open skies, spectacular mountain views, river-side trails, and the charm of Clarens just minutes away, it’s the ideal setting for gatherings, celebrations, and unforgettable getaways.
• Sleeps up to 16 guests.
• R3375 for 5 guests, extra guests R655 per guest per night.
• Just 3.5 km from the heart of Clarens.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
7 BEDROOMS & 5 BATHROOMS
• All beds have electric blankets, crisp white sheets, 2 pillows, a duvet and an extra blanket.
• Bath towels are provided.
MAIN HOUSE
• The Main House has 4 bedrooms and 3½ bathrooms.
• Bedroom 1 has a KS bed, built-in cupboards and an en-suite bathroom.
• The en-suite bathroom has a tub, shower, loo and hand basin.
• Bedrooms 2 and 3 each have 2 ¾ beds and built-in cupboards.
• Bedroom 4 has 2 ¾ beds.
• Bathroom 2 has a tub, shower and hand basin.
• There is single loo with a hand basin.
• Bathroom 3 has a shower, loo and hand basin.
COTTAGE
• The Cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.
• The first bedroom has a KS bed and built-in cupboards.
• The second bedroom has 2 single beds.
• Extra bunk beds can be put in the lounge.
7TH BEDROOM
• This bedroom and en-suite bathroom is totally separate from the main house and cottage.
• The bed is a KS bed and the en-suite bathroom has a tub, hand basin and loo.
LIVING & UTILITY AREAS
MAIN HOUSE
• Large, well-equipped kitchen, scullery and laundry.
• Open plan dining and spacious lounge area with DSTV and a wood combustion heater.
• Games room/sun lounge has a pool table, a dart board and an extensive library.
• Braai and dining area on veranda opening out onto the lawn. Weber and half drum braai.
• Chairs and table and bench under shady trees in a huge garden.
• Central courtyard, between the main house and the cottage with a washing line.
COTTAGE
• Open plan kitchen, breakfast bar and lounge area with DSTV.
• Lounge has sliding glass doors leading onto private garden area which is fenced and secure for furry guests.
7TH BEDROOM
• Detached from the main house and the cottage.
• A wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
• A small bar fridge and tea and coffee station.
• There is also a small, fenced-off, garden area to keep your doggies secure.
AMENITIES
• Sheets, blankets and pillows (crisp white linen).
• Electric blankets.
• Bath soap and toilet paper.
• DSTV

• Combustion fire box.
• 2 Braais
• Coffee, tea, sugar, powdered milk.

• Free parking at the front and back of the house. Lock up parking upon request.
RATES
• From R3375 per night for 5 guests.
• More than 5 guests – R655 per night per guest.
• Rates may vary over public holidays and we reserve the right to change them.
• 50% deposit is to be paid to confirm the booking and the balance will be due 2 weeks prior to check-in.
CANCELLATION POLICY
• Full refund if cancellation is made within 24 hrs of booking and check-in is at least 14 days away.
• No refunds for cancellations made within 14 days of check-in.
