THIS PAGE IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
The truth is, I crashed my website some time ago and I’m still rebuilding (from scratch). I am a real person, and doing it myself so it’s quite a learning curve.
Below is a little bit on Golden Rock Horse Adventures and what will be available to you on 1 May 2026.
Thanks for visiting and thanks for your patience.

Golden Rock Horse Adventures
Core Vision
Golden Rock Horse Adventures is a peaceful horse experience in the foothills of the Maluti Mountains where guests learn to connect with horses through curiosity rather than control.
The experience focuses on:
- calm interaction with horses
- learning how horses communicate
- time in nature
- small group experiences
- thoughtful, gentle horsemanship
The farm includes the original sandstone farmhouse and 2 cottages for accommodation, a venue barn for talks, and a herd of seven Clydesdale cross horses known as The Maluti Seven together with 2 old rescue ponies and an old cattle pony.
The Golden Rock Story
At the foot of the Maluti Mountains, on Schaapplaats Farm, surrounded by sandstone hills and wide skies, a small herd of Clydesdale cross horses lives quietly together with 3 rescue ponies.
This is the home of Golden Rock Horse Adventures.
Here, life moves at a gentler pace. The horses are not trained through dominance or pressure, but through curiosity, patience, trust and positive reinforcement.
Guests are invited to slow down, meet the herd, and discover how horses naturally communicate with each other and with us.
The farm is built around the original sandstone farmhouse and two cottages where visitors can step away from their everyday busyness.
Walks with the horses, quiet observation of both the Maluti Seven and the feral herds, and time in the mountain landscape create space to reconnect with nature and yourself.
Each horse has its own personality, and together they form the Maluti Seven.
Golden Rock is not about becoming a better rider.
It is about becoming a better listener — to horses, to nature, and sometimes even to ourselves.
